PROJECT COORDINATOR - FIRE PROTECTION

QUALIFICATIONS required

  • 1-2 years experience in a similar role, experience in construction and/or fire protection an asset.
     

  • Valid drivers’ licence and regular access to a vehicle.
     

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Project).
     

  • Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
     

  • Effective communicator and able to quickly build professional relationships.
     

  • Creative problem solver.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Communicate relevant project information to the project team.

  • Perform general administrative and record keeping functions, including the review and distribution of project documentation, correspondence, minutes, and field review reports.

  • Track and manage RFIs, transmittals, shop drawings, site instructions, and change orders.

  • Secure pricing from vendors and assist with procurement and delivery of materials.

  • Work with the Project Manager to maintain billing, scope, materials, and other project objectives.

  • Manage subcontracts, process invoices and progress claims. 

  • Attend construction trade meetings on site and observe project progress and opportunities.

  • Prepare project closeout documents, collect warranties, O&M materials, and equipment start-up records.

  • Other assigned duties as directed by management, from time to time.
